wedding flowers in farmington, connecticut-
The bride was gorgeous... her dress, her hair, her beautiful smile! light blue nigella, waxflowers, garden roses, creamy colored dahlias... all hand bound with remnants of her mother's wedding dress. The big white tent on the lawn of the Hillstead Museum overlooked green meadows and lavish gardens... lemonade sparkling in glass pitchers... looked like a vintage wedding to me! really beautiful!

Farmington Gardens, Farmington Connecticut

Farmington Gardens held their first event last Thursday.... When I arrived in the afternoon, the place was buzzing with people pulling together all the last details. Phil Chabot's mother made a special impression on me... she reminded me of my own mom. She had a big smile while working hard, and she was also noticing every small detail... even taking a moment to greet me kindly (and talk about lilacs) before she continued in the hustle and bustle. The greenhouse was bright and cheerful with paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling and flowering plants in every corner. The grounds were gorgeous... even in the rain! I was impressed by everything that I saw . If you are getting married, or hosting an event, this venue should be on your list of places to see. You will not be disappointed! Farmington Gardens, Farmington Connecticut

Piper Maypop Florist visits Farmington Gardens banquet hall:
I had the pleasure of receiving a tour at the brand new Farmington Gardens. Phil Chabot is the owner and project manager of this amazing project, and he was kind enough to take some time out of his busy schedule to show me the nearly finished banquet hall. There is plenty of space inside AND outside of this building to hold a rather large reception. The space is very airy and light.... It has gorgeous views of lush greenery, and beautiful flowers. It has unbelievable space for cocktail hour and mingling time - as well as an amazing greenhouse for lunches. It is certainly a space that all brides in the Connecticut area should take a look at... There is no better time than the venue's very first event: The Wine in the Gardens event (at Farmington Gardens 999 Farmington Ave.), Thursday, May 19, 6:30-9:30 p.m., it is open to the public. Tickets are $40 and can be bought at the Farmington Bank on Main Street in Farmington. These 2 photos are just a smidge of what is to come.... you will be impressed!
